Trees getting big

Reported via desktop in the Tree roots raising a footpath category anonymously at 19:47, Sunday 1 September 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

Hi. The pine trees near the houses on 9-12 Woodley Close may need topping before they get too big. They are lovely trees but would definitely benefit by slightly reducing their height and cutting off dead branches that are constantly falling. One of the tree's roots is raining the tarmac. Many thanks.

Updates

  • State changed to: Investigating

Updated by Oxfordshire County Council at 19:48, Sunday 1 September 2024

  • Thank you for your enquiry. I have visited the location and assessed the trees. The trees are on land not deemed to be part of the highway maintainable at public expense and therefore, Oxfordshire County Council do not have responsibility for the trees as local highway authority. I believe the tree may be the responsibility of the Vale of White Horse District Council and therefore you should contact them directly to pursue this enquiry further.
