This is now really serious. Our houses are now more likely to be flooded because of street drainage than because of the River Thames!! You need to clear this drain promp[tly or we woill have to sue you. John Bell

This is John Willcox-Jones of 9A Thames Street regarding the drain that needs unblocking 5 feet from the entrance to our property. This overflows on a regular basis when the river level is high and despite repeated requests no action appears to have been taken to clear the drain. This has resulted in sewage entering the property in Spring 2024 which has also occurred in earlier years. We have our internal property drains jetted and serviced on an annual basis. As you do not appear to have the will and/or resources to do this can I get my drainage contractor to carry out this work and submit their invoice to you as with the rapidly rising river level today this needs urgent attention.
