Hedges overgrowing pavement force pedestrians to dangerously walk on cycle path

Reported via mobile in the Hedges category by Councillor Simon Ottino Northfield Brook Ward at 15:36, Thursday 22 August 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

The hedges on the North Eastern side of Blackbird Leys Road from the bridge down towards Balfour Rd are completely overgrowing the pavement so that pedestrians have to walk in the cycle path and are at risk of being hit by a speeding bike. Please cut back immediately and make sure of a more regular maintenance schedule to avoid this happening again. The lack of maintenance of pavements like this makes a mockery of the Council's Active travel plans and discourages walking and forces people back into cars.
