Trees are touching and overhanging the roof of 54 Sussex Drive

Reported via desktop in the Report a tree problem category anonymously at 14:42, Wednesday 14 August 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The guttering and front garden of 54 Sussex Drive are constantly being blocked by leaves and branches from the overhanging trees. We have just spent a considerable sum getting the guttering cleared and repaired before more problems occurred in the house.

Council ref: ENQ241014137

  • Thank you for your report. I have visited site and assessed the trees in their location. The trees present are on land not deemed to be part of the highway maintainable at public expense by OCC in the County’s capacity as local highway authority. A land registry search has confirmed that the trees are on land that is maintainable by Banbury Town Council and not by the County Council. We advise to contact them directly to pursue this enquiry further. District Council contact details can be found at: https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ residents/ environment-and-planning/ countryside/ trees-and-woodland/ who-contact-about-trees
