Reported via iOS in the Report a tree problem category anonymously at 17:30, Tuesday 13 August 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

This tree is a danger to the surrounding houses. The council is responsible if it falls and damages property. I suggest it is pollarded before it blows down on to someone’s house because I will have no issue suing the council if it does.

Council ref: ENQ241014057

Asset ID: 0B0S

  • Thank you for your report. I have visited site and assessed the trees in their location. The trees present are on land not deemed to be part of the highway maintainable at public expense by OCC in the County’s capacity as local highway authority. A land registry search has confirmed that the trees are on land that is maintainable by Cherwell District Council and not by the County Council. We advise to contact them directly to pursue this enquiry further. District Council contact details can be found at: https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ residents/ environment-and-planning/ countryside/ trees-and-woodland/ who-contact-about-trees
