Road noise due to surface dressing

Reported via desktop in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 10:13, Tue 13 August 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

I welcomed the recent surface dressing of the Faringdon Road through Kingston Bagpuize and Southmoor. However, it has increased the road noise immensely, which is to the detriment of all those who live alongside the road, especially in the early mornings when it sounds like aeroplanes are passing by. Is it not possible to use finer chippings? Skid risk is not a factor here.
