Long trench in road surface

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

A long trench has opened up in the road surface along the complete length of the slip road where Cuckoo Lane enters the east bound A40. This trench is so deep and wide that car wheels skid when drivers accelerate out onto the A40 and for cyclists it is potentially lethal as they could be thrown from their bikes if they were to cross it at the wrong angle.

    There was an accident here on August 14th with a car ending up in the hedge alongside the junction.
