Large area of degraded/damaged pavement surface

Reported via desktop in the Footways and Pavement damage category anonymously at 17:16, Friday 9 August 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The pavement outside no. 17 Bickerton Road has been disintegrating over a long period. The surface is breaking up and revealing lots of loose pebbles. During a recent, rare occasion when a street sweeper came along, lots of these pebbles got kicked all over the place, including the road, where they pose a hazard to cyclists.

  • I have noticed that an area of damaged pavement has been outlined with green paint. However, the damaged area is much larger than the marked area, around four times as large. I wonder why only this small section has been marked, when the other 75% are equally in need of repair?
