B4477 -entry to Filkins. The village has mown the grass before the signage, but is unable to cut back the hedge from the sign to the cemetery - it is not safe to do so. Please can you arrange. Thank you

  • Thank you for your enquiry. Oxfordshire County Council, as the Highway Authority, is ultimately responsible for the maintenance of grass verges alongside the carriageway network throughout Oxfordshire (excluding motorways and trunk roads). Under our new approach, all roadside verges in both rural and urban areas are cut once a year. If necessary, we will trim areas that impede driver visibility more regularly.
