Decking joints to bridges need re-caulking

When the bridge-decks (2 no.) were "repaired" (ie bodged) three years ago, the joints between the decks and adjacent footpath surfaces were only lightly packed with bitumen etc. Most of this has flexed out leaving rain/ damp able to get in to the wood sub-structure. ALL of these joints need raking out and properly recaulking - BEFORE the winter arrived, and while the decking/ timber Haa dried during the summer. Failure to act now will store up more expensive & extensive repairs later on ...
