The pothole has been here for sometime. and was never fixed although had been marked with white paint around it

A year or so ago this pothole, along with two adjacent potholes, were painted around with white paint. The two other potholes were subsequently filled in but this one pothole remained untouched. I reported the failure to fill in the one pothole but was told it was not on a public highway. The rain eventually washed away the while paint and I gave up. The pothole is near my kitchen window and kitchen door In wet weather, cars driving by cause splashing on to my kitchen window and kitchen door and I have also been drenched. The muddy water is starting to erode the stone work where it hits the wall of my house. Another hole has also appeared next to the original one.
