Cars continuously parked on pavements or on double yellow lines
Reported via mobile in the Footways and Pavement damage category anonymously at 12:22, Mon 5 August 2024
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Since Ameys Chemist moved into the pharmacy on the corner of Cooker Close parking here has become a nightmare. The staff of the chemist continuously park their vehicles on the entire pavement meaning pedestrians have to step out into the road. This is particularly dangerous as the vehicles are parked on the corner of the close, so pedestrians are stepping into the very busy junction of Coker Close and Church Street. If driving and turning right out of Coker Close, the vehicle/s block your line of vision and it is difficult to see vehicles coming from the right. Cars are persistently parked on the double yellow lines on the road outside the chemist, as customers can't be bothered to walk the short distance from the parking spaces that are available. This means accessing or leaving Coker Close is difficult and there is often a bottleneck.
