...and again. Gully outside 24 Park Road Blocked. Again. Still. Again.

Reported via desktop in the Property Flooding category anonymously at 17:43, Thu 1 August 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

If it's ok with you, I'll just cut and paste the same report as last time, as it's the exact same problem. The same photos can be used too. We (my neighbours and I) would be grateful if you came to a different conclusion to last time though.

It's clearly not a drainage capacity problem, as the gullies outside properties 18 and 32 Park Road have no trouble draining the road, even at the peak of significant rainfall as happened today. With a large volume of cars passing, such as there are while there are traffic lights at the Foxhall Road/Broadway roundabout, most drivers find it amusing to see how much extra water they can push down our and our neighbours' driveway and into the gardens, over and above the flow already caused by the blocked gully. The condition of the gully and pavement outside No.24 has worsened, with even greater trip and tyre hazards. Please would you be kind enough to arrange an inspection and repair/cleaning of the gully and pavement? Thank you.

From the previous report:

"This gully directly outside 24 Park Road is blocked again. Subsidence of the surrounding pavement and road suggests the pipework below is damaged. The frame has also collapsed causing a trip and tyre damage hazard. Every time there is heavy rain, such as we experience EVERY spring, summer, autumn and winter, driveways and gardens are flooded because the gullies are not cleared or maintained. Every time we report this, nothing is done. You attended one less than 100m up the road after the previous flooding event, but did nothing with this one despite several reports from residents. Please unblock and repair this one.
