Traffic and road closure affecting street

I write following another horrible weekend of traffic and road closures in my local area as a result of the Blenheim Palace Game Fair weekend. As a resident of Begbrook living on the A44 (Woodstock Road East) the volume of traffic, noise and delays this weekend have not been acceptable. Not only did I have to queue to leave and return to my property on multiple occasions, but also re-route due to road closures in the area as a result of the very popular event. I appreciate precautions were taken to try to ease the traffic flow- but this barely scratched the surface in terms of disruption and inconvenience as a local resident. I am in favour of social events, but it seems very unfair that we are not in scope for complimentary tickets when big events such as this, the horse trials and the concerts (to name a few) disrupt our daily lives so badly. I am aware residents in Woodstock and Bladon are treated with consideration (goodwill) and I would ask that the same respect and consideration is extended to people living on the main route in and out of the palace when such events are scheduled. I understand many people living in Begbrook have or intend to write to you and Blenheim Palace to express our concerns. I am not usually one to complain but this gas been going on for long enough now without any goodwill to us. I look forward to hearing from you in the very near future
