Number 15 ferriston banbury ox16 1xe

Reported via desktop in the Tree roots raising a footpath category anonymously at 13:30, Thu 1 August 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

I have reported this to the cherwell council and no action is being taken i have emailed them on 05/06/2024 and sent a follow up email and still no reply

There is a huge tree on number 15 ferriston banbury that has been over grown and is blocking the street lamp and touching the property window and leaves going into the gutters this either need to be trimmed down or be fully removed

Also there is another tree on the side of the property same issue blocking the street lamp and the grass is over grown

The tree at the front of the property has been an issue for a long time and i have checked in the past it is on cherwell land and need to be resolved

Council ref: ENQ241012959

  • State changed to: Investigating

Updated by Oxfordshire County Council at 13:31, Thu 1 August 2024

  • Thank you for your report. I have visited site and assessed the trees in their location. The trees present are on land not deemed to be part of the highway maintainable at public expense by OCC in the County’s capacity as local highway authority. A land registry search has confirmed that the trees are on land that is maintainable by Cherwell District Council and not by the County Council. We advise to contact them directly to pursue this enquiry further. District Council contact details can be found at: https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ residents/ environment-and-planning/ countryside/ trees-and-woodland/ who-contact-about-trees

    State changed to: Investigation complete
