Major ,deep potholes < 150 mm deep and in some cases 900mm long ,These potholes have been ‘developing’ for years . They are deep enough to be revealing some heavy large stone rubble underneath .They are now a serious hazard for all users of this road. Unrepairable tyres and broken springs are affecting motorists , but these are serious health hazards to cyclists and walkers in poor light particularly . There are several other areas of road surface breaking up and it is getting worse , of late there has been much more HGV traffic using the lane ( including Local Authority contractors) despite it being signed as “Unsuitable for HGV Traffic” at the southern end. This must be impacting the roads surface .
