Grass was already cut by a villager at the junction, and not much use once the schools have now gone on holiday. The road is only single track and still very unsafe to travel down, the once a year cut is ridicules and dangerous.

Oxfordshire County Council, as the Highway Authority, is ultimately responsible for the maintenance of grass verges alongside the carriageway network throughout Oxfordshire (excluding motorways and trunk roads). Under our new approach, all roadside verges in both rural and urban areas are cut once a year. If necessary, we will trim areas that impede driver visibility more regularly.
