Water gushing out of manhole

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Near the traffic lights on the rise to the bridge over the Thames is a manhole. Water is flowing from this and collecting in a deep flood at the bottom of the rise. The surface of the road is cracking up round the manhole. Could not take a photo sorry.

  • Thank you for your report. After investigation, the leak was found to be emanating from a private water supply to a nearby property and therefore the responsibility of the property owner. We have been advised by Thames Water that a private contractor will be carrying out repairs on behalf of the property owner on 05/09/24. In the meantime OCC have carried out temporary repairs to the area.
