Excessive delays due to poor diversion

Due to a nearby road closure at the McDonald’s roundabout the traffic has been diverted to church road and directed to turn right onto the main road. This is a very difficult and busy junction to turn right from and due to much higher levels of traffic trying to do this it is causing significant delays and increasing risk of an accident. It is particularly difficult to pull out of St Helens Avenue as it is difficult to see out to the right with the new road layout and vegetation in the way. Parked cars very close to the junction on St Helens Avenue also make this more difficult and dangerous. Traffic needs to be controlled especially with the increase in traffic turning right from church road.
