Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Can someone please enlighten me as to why the plans for a traffic light system was rejected. The diversion route that has been put into place is disastrous and an accident waiting to happen.

You have cars wanting to get into Benson, queuing from the speed camera. Then cars not waiting to wait going round in the other lane where cars coming the other direction would turn left.

Anyone wanting to to come out of person and turn right out of Benson, hasn’t got a hope in hell. Even if they were to creep out, they will most likely get hit up car overtaking the queue!!

Then to make matters worse down the road by the church, you have cars packed all the way along making this a narrow one way road, creating congestion. This road isn’t suitable for HGV lorries. There were cars mounting the pavement today to make room!!! The pavements on this road are frequently used for school kids and people walking down to the river. This is an accident waiting to happen
