Large bush overhanging bike path - very dangerous for cycle commute

Reported via mobile in the Vegetation & maintenance category anonymously at 13:21, Wednesday 17 July 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

The overhanging bush is so large it clips handle bars, significantly blocks view and makes it impossible to have more than 1 cyclist or pedestrian at a time through that space. Along that whole stretch of bike path by Audlett drive there are a number of other bushes and trees that need clipping back, but this example highlighted is the worst and most dangerous

  • Yeah Ive noticed this too you can just about see oncoming but as I highlighted before its possibly dangerous as some coming down the hill at speed seem not to be very careful and not looking. One a few weeks back seemed positively nutty yelling and shouting and refusing to give way.Add weak breaks and a wet day and disaster waiting. Any cyclist would be doing us all a favour utilising a couple of quick snips with secateurs but I guess we have to wait till official channels get it done
