Overgrown shrubs introducing high risk of accidents

Reported via desktop in the Roads and Carriageways category by Steve daniels at 19:41, Monday 15 July 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

The Kennington / A423 Southern By Pass Roadabout now has at least 4 wind sown Buddleia and other shrubs obscuring traffic lights and sight lines. The intrusions are now such that cars are swerving between lanes to avoid them at significant risk of accidents. I have observed a number of such near misses and someone is going to be badly injured very soon.

  • There is a ‘butterfly bush’ at the intersection of the A423 and the A4144 on the ‘island’ separating the N/S lanes where one can turn into Abingdon Road. It has become an obstruction hazard to the view of the traffic and needs to be completely removed. Thank You, Peter Johnstone
