Overgrown Grass

Reported via desktop in the Grass category anonymously at 13:15, Monday 15 July 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

Traveling from New road Sutton to come out on Main Stanton harcourt road next to what was the Fox pub. If you're turning right towards the roundabout there is no clear vision due to long grass on the verge and overgrown hedge, which means you have to travel halfway across the main Stanton Harcourt road before you can see , creating what is a seriously dangerous situation.

  • Thank you for your enquiry. Oxfordshire County Council, as the Highway Authority, is ultimately responsible for the maintenance of grass verges alongside the carriageway network throughout Oxfordshire (excluding motorways and trunk roads). Under our new approach, all roadside verges in both rural and urban areas are cut once a year. If necessary, we will trim areas that impede driver visibility more regularly. For more details, you can refer to our Highway Verge and Vegetation Management policy at https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ sites/ default/ files/ file/ roads-and-transport-major-projects/ grasscuttingpolicy.pdf
