Constant Flooding From A Leak

Reported via mobile in the Flooding on Road category anonymously at 14:58, Sun 14 July 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

There is a constant leak of water occurring on the west side of the bridge which follows into the bend of the road and causes a major flooding majority of the time. This has occurred over the past years but the temporary fixes seem to be of poor quality as the leaking restarts after a month or two. This also leads to the damaged road surface which has been fixed last year but has major potholes again.

  • State changed to: Investigating

  • This seemed to be fixed but has started leaking again, resulting in an even worse state of the road and potentially dangerous for cyclists.

  • This problem is becoming increasingly worse. The leak, which initially appeared to be coming from the manhole cover, is now coming from the road surface itself. The flooding it has been causing is now much worse than it was. Basically the problem, which had been fixed, is now significantly worse and should be addressed as a priority.
