Unauthorised signs on roundabout
Reported via mobile in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 20:00, Sat 13 July 2024
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Estate agents keep adding more and more advertising signs to highway bollards on the roundabout at the bottom of Mill Lane.
These bollards are street furniture belonging to the local authority.
Town and Country Planning (Control of Advertisements) Regulations 2007 state that such boards may only to be displayed on, or within the curtilage of, the property to which they relate. Boards displayed elsewhere (e.g. on the Highway or attached to street furniture) are unauthorised.
Also they look terrible and are distracting for drivers on the junction. The state agents are damaging the bollards by screwing in the posts.
Please remove signage and remind the estate agents involved that this is unauthorised.
