Silt and stones at junction

Reported via desktop in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 22:54, Friday 12 July 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

The original report ref 5948754 has been closed as completed by Biffa. It has not. Some of the silt and stone debris has been cleared, but there are still large piles of it at the junction. This is not new debris, but simply left after an incomplete clearance. This will new generate more work and effort to do what should have been done in the first place. Story being written for Henley Standard.

Council ref: ENQ241011057

  • See images as requested. This is not new silt and stone. It has a concrete like state that is indicative of it having been there for the years it has. Contractors should have to provide evidence of what they have been paid to do before payment! This is a good example of poor value for money and inefficiency. The story of 'The gravel at Witheridge Hill' is ready to send! We travel extensively on the continent and the standard of road care and maintenance is so much better!
