Grass verge along Oxford Road coming into Woodcote Requires Cutting

Reported via desktop in the Grass category anonymously at 15:18, Fri 12 July 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

The grass verge along Oxford Road coming into Woodcote has not been cut this year yet. This area of verge is NOT an area that OCC pay the Parish Council to cut on their behalf and is therefore still the responsibility of OCC.. As you can see from the photos, the white gate marking the entrance to the village is not visible, until you are right by it. As there is an issue with drivers coming off the A4074 and continuing their 60mph, it would be helpful if the gates marking the entrance to the village were visible as far ahead as possible, to hopefully trigger more awareness that they are about to drive into a village and they should SLOW DOWN. Of course it would better if the speed limit changed down to 40mph off the A4074 and before people enter the village, but in the immediate time, cutting the verges would be much appreciated please. Thank you.
