No dropped kerb

Reported via mobile in the Footways and Pavement damage category anonymously at 15:00, Fri 12 July 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Residents who live along the Worcester Road who need to use a mobility scooter or wheelchair cannot gain access to the town due to there being no dropped kerb on the opposite side of the road to the houses. No 1 Worcester Road by the lay-by the path kerb is lowered but then residents have no choice but to either use the road or have no access to the town, this is severely stopping the elderly and less able to gain basic supplies and freedom to go further than there home and gardens

  • Thank you for your report.

    Upon investigating into the matter. I have found the following;

    - Whilst there is not a drop kerb directly opposite number 1 Worcester road, there is a pedestrian/wheel chair/ mobility drop kerb located a short distance opposite number 15 on Worcester road.

    - I did note that parking appears to be an issue on the public footpath opposite the row of houses on Worcester road, whereby, cars are parking across the pavement. In relation to this, I have passed photos and details onto the civil parking enforcement team to action.

    This enquiry will now be closed within the Traffic and road safety department.

    Kind regards
