Overhanging trees

Reported via desktop in the Report a tree problem category anonymously at 11:56, Fri 12 July 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Trees overhanging the road from Coldarbor, Behoes Lane are a huge problem for vehicles on this three way intersection. (Behoes, Wood and Beech Lanes). We are currently without internet this is the second time in the past 12 months. The overhead line to our house is on the opposite side of the road, in the middle of these overhanging branches. We would very much appreciate if the canopy of these trees could be lifted very high so at to allow these very large trucks that find they have to try to reverse and do three point turns in order to get back up beech Lane once they realise they cannot go down this narrow road. I understand that there is a law that property owners are responsible for maintaining the height overhanging the roads. We have intermittent internet since 4th June as a result of the last branch damaging the connection. The fault has been raised with Openreach but I am hoping, going forward, that we can avoid this happening? Thank you, In anticipation.
