Reported via mobile in the Manhole category by Cllr Smith - YPC at 11:23, Fri 12 July 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later

Three number “PAM” double triangular manhole covers adjacent to each other, bouncing on their seats by vehicle tyres overrunning them. Manhole top is below level of frame indicating wear in cover/frame contact points. Complaint is environmental noise caused by traffic overruns. Manhole covers need to be replaced.

  • Thank you for your report. Based on our assessment, the covers mentioned do not appear to be rattling as described I do believe this to possibly be due to the time of the year and how metal reacts to the cold. If this reoccurs in the warmer months please raise a new report
