Town Main Leak

Reported via mobile in the Flooding on Road category anonymously at 08:11, Fri 12 July 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

Water (suspected town main/drinking water) is continually pouring out of an access cover as you exit the bridge on the Clifton Hampden side. This is resulting in a large water build-up on the corner of High Street and is beginning to damage the surface of the road. This leak has been occurring for a number of weeks.

Updates

  • State changed to: Investigating

  • This is getting worse and dangerous. The road surface is rutted and the large drain as you go over the bridge from the shop side is sinking and drain cover is tilted up exposing sharp end of cover. Just waiting to rip car tyres. It is dangerous and I find it astonishing that this not being investigated. How long does the highways have to wait for Thames Water.
