Parking on pavement
Reported via mobile in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 19:50, Mon 8 July 2024
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later
There are cars parked on the pavement here every single day. Today there were 8 of them at one time. It has become a free car park. They obstruct the pavement so I often can’t fit through with a pushchair. It is exceptionally dangerous when they reverse back across the pavement to rejoin the road. I have had to stop my children walking there because we have had so many near misses of cars reversing from their parking spaces without looking. We should be able to safely walk along the pavement without such vigilance!
There are 2 hour parking spaces in Charles street and fairacres road (literally metres away). Drivers should be encouraged to use them. Business owners are entitled to a parking permit to park within the CPZ.
