Tall grass / nettles / vegatation encroacing into the road

Reported via mobile in the Grass category anonymously at 13:47, Sun 7 July 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

The grass verges at the far end of the lane in Emmington OX39 4AA have not been cut at all. This is reducing the width of the road, making it difficult for vehicles to pass without scratching down their side and difficult for pedestrians to move out of the way of vehicles. The bottom half of the lane near the Inn at Emmington has been cut, but not the top half.

  • Still no update or action. Overhanging brambles, Cows Parsnip, Nettles and other very tall vegetation is scratching down the sides of cars causing damage. Will the Highways pay for this damage to be repaired? This is on top of the hazard to pedestrians who are unable to get out of the way of cars, tractors, builders vans etc
