Demolished Safety Railings Not Replaced

Reported via desktop in the Footways and Pavement damage category anonymously at 13:05, Thursday 4 July 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

During the last year a car crashed into and demolished approximately 2 -4 metres of 1 metre high safety railings at kerbside of the pavement at the end of the pathway leading from Kine Croft to Croft Road. This has never been replaced. The bent posts were removed by the Council and the pavement was only repaired with Tarmac. This is unacceptable from a young child’s safety point of view. There is a zig zag of 2 half railings that Mothers have to pass through with children prior to the kerb and cannot control their children easily before reaching the road. Drivers have no view of children running from the alley way. Please replace the railings which should have been at the cost of the car driver’s insurance.
