Difficult to see traffic to the right when emerging

If turning in in either direction it is very difficult to see traffic coming from the right because of the height of the grass obscuring the view. Not normally a problem, but traffic is often travelling close to the national speed limit of 60mph

  • Thank you for your enquiry. Oxfordshire County Council, as the Highway Authority, is ultimately responsible for the maintenance of grass verges alongside the carriageway network throughout Oxfordshire (excluding motorways and trunk roads). Under our new approach, all roadside verges in both rural and urban areas are cut once a year. If necessary, we will trim areas that impede driver visibility more regularly.
