Overgrown grass and weeds need cutting back as forcing pedestrians to walk along the outer edge of the footpath and risk falling off the 18” drop into the road on High St Ardington. Not wide enough either for a pushchair or. wheelchair.

  • Thank you for your report. Landowners and occupiers are legally obligated to properly maintain vegetation on their property that is next to the public highway. If the vegetation affects the safety of highway users, it becomes their responsibility. However, in this instance, since the highway was not obstructed, there may not be sufficient cause to take further action at this time. We will continue to monitor the situation during statutory inspections.
