High grass outside school

Reported via mobile in the Grass category anonymously at 12:43, Tue 2 July 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

Grass verge outside Manor School is now so high it is difficult to see children leaving the school if you are driving past. Also, children cannot see cars on the road. This is a potentially dangerous situation. The grass needs cutting as soon as possible.

  • Thank you for your enquiry. Oxfordshire County Council, as the Highway Authority, is ultimately responsible for the maintenance of grass verges alongside the carriageway network throughout Oxfordshire (excluding motorways and trunk roads). Under our new approach, all roadside verges in both rural and urban areas are cut once a year. If necessary, we will trim areas that impede driver visibility more regularly. For more details, you can refer to our Highway Verge and Vegetation Management policy at https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ sites/ default/ files/ file/ roads-and-transport-major-projects/ grasscuttingpolicy.pdf
