Near collisions and injuries caused by vegetation

Reported via desktop in the Vegetation & maintenance category anonymously at 16:16, Tue 2 July 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

Why is this cyclepath still so neglected? Why do cyclists continue to be hit in the face by overhanging by branches and brambles, even when tucked down on handlebars? Why is it still so overgrown that it is unsafe for cyclists to pass without nearly colliding or one being forced into the overgrown bushes? This would never be ignored or tolerated if it involved damage to cars. Vulnerable cyclists are continually injured and ignored, which is completely at odds with council transport and environmental strategies. So can you please commit to making the city and county cyclepaths safe and fit to use. It's not hard. It's not expensive. But it can transform the way we live.
