Overgrown grass banks obscuring junction
Reported via mobile in the Grass category anonymously at 18:12, Sunday 30 June 2024
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later
The grass is so high on this junction that drivers fail to realise its a bend and they fly straight over the junction. In the last two weeks I’ve narrowly avoided being T boned twice as this junction by motorists failing to stop as they cant see approaching cars coming around the bend

Thank you for your enquiry. Oxfordshire County Council, as the Highway Authority, is ultimately responsible for the maintenance of grass verges alongside the carriageway network throughout Oxfordshire (excluding motorways and trunk roads). Under our new approach, all roadside verges in both rural and urban areas are cut once a year. If necessary, we will trim areas that impede driver visibility more regularly. For more details, you can refer to our Highway Verge and Vegetation Management policy at https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ sites/ default/ files/ file/ roads-and-transport-major-projects/ grasscuttingpolicy.pdf
