Road needs speed limit

Burleigh Rd/Cassington Rd, is shared use between people walking, cycling, wheeling and driving motor vehicles, there is no safe space for people, the speed limit should therefore be at most 20mph.

  • Thank you for your enquiry, We are currently working to determine a process for a countywide 20mph speed limit amendment where appropriate.
    What we would ask is that you obtain the following support for your proposed scheme from: -
    • Local elected County Council Member
    • Paris Council
    The request for a 20 mph should ideally come through them when support has been gathered.
    Subject to this and funding, we could then consider arranging preliminary speed surveys which are required to confirm the feasibility of lowering the speed limit.
