Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

Gullys Blocked initially reported 19:56, Friday 23 February 2024. FixMyStreet ref: 5622555. "This bypass road suffers from multiple puddles these days when we have excessive rainfall. The gully's need emptying and exits for water so that it doesn't stay on the carriageway. Please fix ASAP" Council ref: ENQ24993867. Asset ID: 290152737

State changed to: Investigating (for 4 months!!!) Posted by Oxfordshire County Council at 19:57, Friday 23 February 2024 County Council partial Response on 26/6/24 "after much thought we have decided to close down reports relating to drainage matters during the winter months as after investigating the data it was apparent that many of the fixmystreet reports/issues were caused by the sheer volume of rainwater that fell meaning that the drainage system was unable to cope due to ground water saturation. We are aware of many areas across the county where flooding occurred and are currently working in conjunction with district and parish council towards addressing these issues."

This is not simply a case of drainage system overload, it never use to occur. The gullys need clearing regularly and cut throughs from the road to the gullys maintained to prevent water build up on the road causing a major hazard. Please rectify ASAP
