Several drains blocked with mud causing flooding

Reported via desktop in the Blocked Drain / Gully category by Johnnie Graham at 19:40, Wednesday 26 June 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

This issue was reported in Jan 24, updated in Apr 24 and then categorised as "closed" by OCC in Jun 24 who identified the problem as one caused by excess rainfall, requesting the problem to be re-reported if necessary.

There are c.20 drains along this stretch of road between the T junction by Kingston Lisle church and the cross-roads where the road intersects with the B4507. Many of them are completely full of mud, so when it rains normally (not just during a prolonged downpour) significant flooding occurs in 2 or 3 places and the floodwater can remain for several days without any further rain. Please could these drains be completely cleared out

Council ref: ENQ241009183

Asset ID: 290119299
