It was acknowledged by the people that came to investigate this that is was caused by a partial blockage in the main drain. This is not caused by excessive rain flooding (the reason given for closing the original report) but by a blockage in the pipe. It should therefore be dealt with rather than closed.

    The water has again come up from the rainwater drains (connected to the road drains) and flooded the garden
