Fence alongside Rene Brogan path is falling apart and needs replacing
Reported via desktop in the Footways and Pavement damage category by Frank Farquharson at 13:09, Tue 25 June 2024
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
There is a post and rail wooden fence alongside Rene Brogan path in Benson (path runs from B4009, Watlington Road and Westfield Road). Many of the posts have rotted and over the years I have repaired them by inserting metal angle iron sections that I screwed to the posts. However, these repairs are no longer adequate and also most, if not all, of the horizontal rails have rotted. I think the fence needs replacing.

The fence has now largely fallen apart and is a danger to pedestrians. With approval from Benson PC Parish Clerk I took down what was standing and stacked it alongside the path at the Westfield Road end. Please can the fence be replaced?
