URGENT need of overhanging trees and bushes along The Avenue

Reported via desktop in the Report a tree problem category by Anne Feather at 11:55, Tue 25 June 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

The overgrown bushes and growth at the bases of several large sycamore and lime trees along The Avenue are affecting traffic visibility at the road junctions with The Avenue. The overhanging busges are particularly a problem on the verge heading south towards Radley from the Playfield Road junction, where traffic driving towards Oxford comes quite fast down the hill after Manor Grove. Another serious visibility issue is the overhanging bushes (a hawthorn etc) and growth at the base of the sycamore tree on the verge between Simpsons Way and St Swithun's Road, along The Avenue. The bushes and tree growth will continue to obscure visibility even after the parish council has arranged for a wider 2m wide strip of grass to be cut along the roadside, and is therefore an urgent matter. Please could OCC's contractors cut back the bushes and low growth from these trees as a matter of urgency? Many thanks
