Overgrown hedgerow and trees on Pyrton lane
Reported via desktop in the Hedges category anonymously at 22:14, Mon 24 June 2024
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later
The hedgerow and trees along Pyrton lane have not been cut back or maintained in the 10 years I have lived here. I maintain my planted hedgerow regularly but the trees and hedge opposite my house has become vastly overgrown. Making it dangerous to walk along given the increase in traffic as well as blocking our significant light from my property. The sycamore trees are riddled with ivy and the hedgerow has engulfed road traffic signs especially pedestrian warning signs which are vital for my children’s safe passage to school via the lane. Garden waste is also being fly tipped into the hedgerows making passage for vehicles and pedestrians dangerous.
