Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 12:12, Monday 24 June 2024
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
The pothole appeared on Thursday or Friday, 20th/21st June and has got bigger since then; the pavement around the hole is sagging, so likely to get bigger. The depth of the hole is around 250 ml, but it is not clear what the material is under the hole. Lots of older people use this footpath, so it does present a significant danger to pedestrians.

The hole is now a lot deeper and a very great danger to anyone walking on this path. The pavement surface is totally unsupported over an extensive area and it could result in a serious injury to anyone unlucky enough to step on it.

This hole is still (4 July) a very serious hazard to pedestrians. An adult could get their foot caught in the hole and risk breaking an ankle. A child's foot would would go into the hole completely up to above the ankle. The hole has not been marked to signify it is a hazard.
