Hedges. grass and weeds

Reported via mobile in the Hedges category anonymously at 09:59, Fri 21 June 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

The overgrown vegetation is taking over the foot and cycle path. This is forcing people to use the A415 which has a 60mph speed limit my concern is for safety.

  • Thank you for your enquiry. Oxfordshire County Council, as the Highway Authority, is ultimately responsible for the maintenance of grass verges alongside the carriageway network throughout Oxfordshire (excluding motorways and trunk roads). Under our new approach, all roadside verges in both rural and urban areas are cut once a year. If necessary, we will trim areas that impede driver visibility more regularly. For more details, you can refer to our Highway Verge and Vegetation Management policy at https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ sites/ default/ files/ file/ roads-and-transport-major-projects/ grasscuttingpolicy.pdf
