Dangerous corner due to long grass
Reported via mobile in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 08:16, Wed 19 June 2024
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later
Long grass on both corners of the Toot Baldon Road where it joins the B480, is obscuring the view making it very difficult to determine whether it is safe to pull out. Same applies to Pettiwell coming down from Garsington. Serious accident may be caused.

Thank you for your enquiry. Grass cutting has now finished and as this was reported in the Summer conclude the issue is now resolved. If this is not the case please open a new report including photos if safe to do so. Oxfordshire County Council, as the Highway Authority, is ultimately responsible for the maintenance of grass verges alongside the carriageway network throughout Oxfordshire (excluding motorways and trunk roads). Under our new approach, all roadside verges in both rural and urban areas are cut once a year. If necessary, we will trim areas that impede driver visibility more regularly. For more details, you can refer to our Highway Verge and Vegetation Management policy at https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ sites/ default/ files/ file/ roads-and-transport-major-projects/ grasscuttingpolicy.pdf
