Hedge Overgrowing making walking and especially cycling dangerous

Reported via mobile in the Hedges category anonymously at 18:38, Monday 17 June 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

Hedge is overgrown. This means the Cycle and foot path is now barely wide enough for an average bike let alone a pushchair, wheel chair or two people sharing the path. Due to its location it means that it is very dangerous for people who are having to travel right on the curb stones and can’t see any vehicles who are approaching the roundabout. I cycle this regularly and always struggle to do this safely, especially as there is not space to dismount and walk alongside a bike. I really believe this should be sorted as it is used regularly by many people including primary school goers who may not yet have a respect for the present danger

  • The cycle way as described above is still blocked with an overgrown hedge forcing cyclists into the road at the last minute, I nearly went under the wheels of an HGV this morning Tuesday 2 July , hats off to the driver he saw my predicament and stopped.
